The NF Clinical Symposium is an opportunity for health professionals and researchers to come together, in person and virtually, to network and discuss the latest in medical management, treatment and research into neurofibromatosis in Australia and around the globe.
2025 conference summary
110 researchers and health professionals with a strong interest in NF gathered in August 2025 for a diverse program diving into the complexities of NF and ongoing research into the condition.
Over 20 presentations were given, ranging from developments in gene therapy and stem cell research to trials of whole-body MRI screening and studies into future innovative solutions in patient care, management and treatment.
Much progress is happening nationally and internationally in this space and we are grateful to our colleagues in the health space for their dedication and excellence.

Dr Natalie Pride
Dr Pride leads the neuropsychology research program at the Kids Neuroscience Centre at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney.
Dr Hayley Darke
Dr Darke is a research neuropsychologist at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) and works as a clinical neuropsychologist at the Neurofibromatosis Clinic at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
Dr Kiymet Bozaoglu
Dr Bozaglu is a molecular biologist and Team Leader in the Neurogenetics Laboratory at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Melbourne, affiliated with the Department of Paediatrics and the University of Melbourne.
Kylie Clark
Kylie coordinates the multidisciplinary NF Clinic at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) in Melbourne.
Dr Brooke Gardiner
Dr Gardiner is a Clinical Genetics and Genetics Research Fellow at the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) in Sydney.
