What an amazing month September was for the NF Hero Challenge. Against all odds, you assembled like true heroes to help conquer NF and raised more than $59,000!
Whether you conquered a push-up handstand like Kevin, or you were the friend who urged Caroline to walk 300,000 steps over 30 days, or you sponsored any one of our NF Hero Challengers, YOU ARE ALL HEROES.
Thanks again to our Corporate Hero Gresham who kicked off our fundraising by matching donations up to $8000, which helped one of our well-known NF Heroes, Janu, take out the title of Top Fundraiser for NF Hero Challenge 2021!
Janu gave up chocolate for the entire month of September – plus she was in lockdown, making it an even harder challenge!
Our second-highest fundraiser for the 2021 NF Hero Challenge was Marissa, who endured rain and blisters to walk 100km over one weekend, with her heroic friends by her side, urging her on.
Our third-highest fundraiser was Laurie of Laurie's Locks, who grew her hair for a year just so she could cut it off for this year's Challenge. Laurie smashed her $2500 goal and raised an amazing $2685. Well done Laurie (and Mum for cutting it) – you look great with short hair!
