Anxiety, depression, and social isolation is something many members of our community experience on a daily basis. These issues are likely to be exacerbated during this pandemic, as we are forced to distance ourselves from family, friends, and other members of the community.
With all NF community events currently on hold, we have implemented a new program that will help increase the provision of our services in a more targeted way.
INTRODUCING
NF Connect is our new virtual destination to check in, catch up and exchange information from the comfort of your own home. This is an opportunity to connect with the NF community and our support staff from anywhere in the country!
Once a month for the next 12 months, we will host up to 4 online chat sessions that you can be part of - each targeting a different life-stage. You pick a group that is most relevant to you.
It is designed to help alleviate some of the stresses, fears and anxieties you may be experiencing right now, while also providing access to engaging guest speakers who will talk on topics that are important to YOU.
There are four different sessions on offer to members of our community:
- NF Connect for Teens (13 - 18 year olds)
- NF Connect for Young Adults (18 - 30 year olds)
- NF Connect for Adults
- NF Connect for Parents and Carers
These sessions will be facilitated by members of our Support Team and will feature guest speakers, Q&A sessions with health professionals and an opportunity to learn from others within the community.
