NF Connect

NF Connect

what is nf connect?

NF Connect is an opportunity for members of our community to virtually connect with one another and our Support Team to help alleviate some of the stresses, fears and anxieties they may be experiencing. It is an opportunity to check-in, catch up and exchange information with one another from the comfort of your own home. We will be running these sessions monthly over the next 12 months, facilitated by members of the CTF Support Team.

WHY NF CONNECT?

Draw on the wisdom of others. Every person with NF has their own unique set of experiences and challenges and every person has valuable information to share. This could be anything from which doctors or specialists they have found helpful, what treatments they have tried, how they cope with mental health challenges, how to deal with family, etc. The knowledge held within the group is invaluable and not something that can be found in many other places.

Have a positive impact on others. Even if you don’t feel that you need to expand your social or connect or aren’t looking to find out information about NF, by attending a group and sharing your experience and knowledge you can have a profoundly positive impact on someone else’s life. By sharing valuable insights and talking about your own challenges or successes, you might just spark a light in someone else’s life.

Make new friends. You can talk, laugh, cry or maybe all three of those while expanding your network of friends. Everyone likes to feel heard and NF Connect is a place where you get the chance to either feel heard or just hang out and listen to others. You can meet people from around Australia, or if you are lucky, you might find someone who lives nearby. It can seem like a prospect for some people, joining in and connecting with a group of people you might never had met, but opening yourself up to new social connections can be a hugely positive step.
