BOARD UPDATE:
There is a saying that in business what doesn’t get done today can be done tomorrow, but when it comes to family, what does not get done today is gone forever.
As an organisation that exists to support families to cope with a lifelong genetic condition, this statement takes on even greater meaning as we recognise how important it is to put our loved ones first.
It is for this reason that Kerrie Kelly, Chair of the Children’s Tumour Foundation Board has needed to step away from her position on the Board. After accepting the position in October of 2019, Kerrie has invested countless hours into the organisation as a volunteer director and executive committee member.
We would like to thank Kerrie for her contribution to the Children’s Tumour Foundation and reassure our community that there will be no disruption to the leadership of the organisation. The role will be temporarily replaced by long-time board member, Nirmal Hansra until a suitable replacement can be found.
Nirmal’s extensive governance, strategic and corporate planning and financial experience makes him the ideal Acting Chair for the organisation and remains Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Nirmal is supported by an Executive Committee comprised of Stephen Kulmar (Committee Chair of Marketing and Philanthropy) and Peter Krideras (Committee Chair of Support Services), as well as an engaged Board of Directors.
