About Tim Austin

Dr Tim Austin is a Physiotherapist who specialises in pain management.

Tim works at Camperdown Physiotherapy in Sydney’s Inner West. He has a varied caseload from acute to chronic pain, which provides him with a comprehensive understanding of pain in all its different presentations . He has always been involved inter-disciplinary pain management, currently with the team at the Inner West Pain Centre.

Tim has completed a Masters of Pain Management with Honours through the University of Sydney and currently teaches on that degree programme.

Tim has been actively involved with The Australian Pain Society, recently stepping down after 7 years on the Board.

Tim was instrumental in the establishment of the Pain Special Interest Group of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and is currently Chair of the National Committee of this group.

In 2021, Tim was the first physiotherapist in Australia to become a Specialist Pain Physiotherapist and be awarded Fellowship of the College of Physiotherapy.

About the Webinar

This presentation will focus on NF and neuropathic pain, as part of a general pain management talk. Dr Austin will discuss the physiological and psychosocial impacts of chronic pain and common NF pain types, such as trigeminal neuralgia, CRPS, scoliosis, Migraines, headaches and abdominal migraines. 

The webinar will also focus on what you can do to manage chronic pain, such as common medications, alternative medications, surgical interventions, lifestyle interventions and even dietary recommendations.
