As a teacher, you form an integral part of any child’s learning and development. Learning disabilities are common in children with NF, and so it is vital that you are provided with access to adequate and accurate information to understand and properly communicate with a child with NF.

There are several resources that have been developed by organisations we are affiliated with, which outline the learning difficulties children with NF often face, and some strategies to help.

  • Neurofibromatosis Type One: A Guide For Educators

  • Summary of the Learning Difficulties that Affect Some Children with NF1

  • Learning and Cognitive Difficulties in Neurofibromatosis Type 1: Explanations and Practical Strategies

*We would like to acknowledge and thank The Neuro Foundation and The Children’s Tumour Foundation for their willingness to share their resources with you on our site.
