Westfield Local Hero - Josh

WESTFIELD ANNOUCE JOSH LANGLEY AS OFFICIAL HERO!

We are so excited to announce and celebrate, Josh Langley, as an official Westfield Local Hero! The award-winning children’s author spreads a message of hope and self-acceptance to young people living with the uncertainty of a neurofibromatosis (NF) diagnosis.

Westfield Local Heroes are nominated and voted for by their communities, with the finalists each awarded a $10,000 grant for their affiliated organisation. The Children’s Tumour Foundation (CTF) will now use these funds to develop a book with real-life stories of teens and young adults with NF - so stay tuned for more information on this very exciting project!

“It inspires me to take my messages of self-acceptance and mental wellbeing for kids much further afield so that all kids around Australia don’t have to suffer anxiety and depression like I did.” - Josh Langley

We also wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the outstanding efforts of Shelly Lynde and Kirsty Whitehead who were also nominated and will always be CTF Heroes. Their ongoing advocacy and commitment to making the world a brighter place for all people living with NF inspires us all at the CTF and we are grateful to have them in our community.
